FAQ about shipping to Azerbaijan from Canada
Can I send electronics to Azerbaijan?
No, sending electronic products to Azerbaijan is prohibited. This restriction applies to electronic goods broadly, so if you're planning to include gadgets or appliances as gifts, check this rule first to avoid your parcel being rejected or held up in customs.
Is the recipient's email address really required for shipping to Azerbaijan?
Yes, an email address for the recipient is mandatory when sending a parcel to Azerbaijan. This is used for tracking updates and customs coordination, so make sure to collect this detail from the recipient before registering your shipment online.
What is the duty-free threshold for parcels sent to Azerbaijan?
Personal, non-commercial goods valued under $300 CAD per shipment can be sent duty-free to Azerbaijan. If the declared value exceeds this amount, Azerbaijani customs will assess duties on the parcel, so it's worth keeping shipments within this limit when possible to avoid extra charges.
How much does shipping to Azerbaijan cost from Canada?
AIR shipping to Azerbaijan starts at $11.95 per kg, plus a fixed local delivery fee of $25 in the destination country. The final price depends on whichever is greater — actual weight or dimensional weight — so compact packing can help keep the total cost down. Simply register your parcel on cab.meest.com, and the platform will calculate and display the shipping price right away, before you complete your order.
How can I send a parcel to Azerbaijan if there's no Meest office nearby?
Without a nearby Meest office, you can still ship your parcel to Azerbaijan by registering online and choosing one of two convenient options: Canada Post Drop-off, where you leave your parcel at any Canada Post location, or Canpar Home Pick-up, where a courier collects it directly from your home. Both are set up easily through Meest's online platform at cab.meest.com.
Does Meest deliver to Azerbaijan by sea as well as air?
No, parcels to Azerbaijan are delivered by air only, unlike some other destinations that offer sea shipping. This means AIR from Canada is the sole option, which affects both pricing and delivery timelines compared to countries with sea freight available.

What's the maximum parcel size and weight allowed for Azerbaijan?
No single side of the parcel can exceed 105 cm, and the maximum weight is 30 kg. Dimensional weight, calculated as (Height x Width x Length) / 5000, also cannot exceed 30 kg — whichever measurement is higher determines your shipping cost.
How long does it take to ship a parcel from Canada to Azerbaijan?
Expedited shipping to Azerbaijan takes up to 5 business days from departure, while standard AIR shipping takes 15-20 business days. If you're shipping from Alberta or British Columbia, add another 5-7 business days to account for transit to the main Toronto facility before international dispatch.
What happens if my parcel to Azerbaijan exceeds the duty-free value?
If your parcel's declared value goes over $300 CAD (or Azerbaijan's own duty-free threshold), local customs will apply duties before the recipient can collect it. This can delay delivery and add unexpected costs, so it's best to declare accurate values and check current thresholds before shipping high-value items.

The cost of your package can be affected by the amount of space that it occupies on an aircraft, rather than the actual weight.
To determine the cost of shipping, the greater of the actual weight or dimensional weight is utilized.
The following are formulas for the dimensional weight in lbs. and kg*
* This formula only applies to AIR shipments
Dimensional Weight {lbs} = L (in) x W (in) x H (in) / 139
Dimensional Weight {kg} = L (cm) x W (cm) x H (cm) / 5000
* This formula only applies to AIR shipments
Each parcel is automatically insured for 60 CAD. If you, as the sender, waive any additional insurance, you will need to put your signature in the column "For the sender: sign here to waive additional insurance and accept 60 CAD limited liability".
The maximum amount of additional insurance for parcels is 800 CAD. Under these terms, if you opt for extra insurance, you must indicate the additional insurance amount in the "Insurance" column. Depending on the parcel contents, insurance is available for more significant amounts; customers need to coordinate larger amounts of insurance with Meest Corporation – head office.
