Meest Corporation Inc. was founded in Toronto in 1989 with the main goal of uniting the Ukrainian diaspora abroad, in Canada, with the homeland, Ukraine. The founder, Rostyslav Kisil, recognized the need for Ukrainian ex-pats to send parcels and packages back home to support their relatives and communities. The company quickly grew into a leader in establishing cultural and business ties between Ukraine and countries all over the world – building bridges that have connected people, organizations and processes all over the world.
True to our initial goal of strengthening the ties between Ukraine and Diaspora in Canada, MEEST became the main sponsor of all humanitarian aid shipments to Ukraine from Canada by such well known charitable organizations as Children of Chornobyl Relief Fund, specially projects Help Us Help the Children and Educational-Rehabilitation Centre “Dzherelo” in Lviv, Bridge of Hope, joint effort of The Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy and the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate to provide care for orphans in Ukraine, and many other charitable organizations.
MEEST’s development and activities are tightly intertwined with the life of Ukrainian Diaspora. We pride ourselves on being one of the prime organizers or key sponsors of Ukrainian festivals, concerts, and art events in Canada, as well as concert tours of Ukrainian artists.
Today Meest operates in over 20 countries worldwide and is a leader in providing international shipping solutions, delivery of gifts, and ecommerce fulfillment to Ukraine, Eastern Europe and Central Asian countries.
