How to Send a Gift for the Holiday Season so that It Arrives Promptly
To share
The Christmas rush has already begun! Meest Canada is already expecting to process a record number of orders before the holiday. We'll teach you how to send a gift so that it arrives promptly and reaches the recipient on time.
What Are the Holiday Shipping Deadlines?
The timing of sending parcels abroad varies depending on the holiday date and the delivery method. Naturally, before major holidays, the rush for shipping parcels from Canada to Ukraine and between the countries increases as people exchange gifts. Usually, the carrier company posts the cut-off dates for sending packages before the holiday on the website so that the client can save time and meet the deadline for holiday shipping.
Since it's Christmas time, try to take your gifts to the Meest office by previously declared international shipping Christmas deadlines:
- Avia — before November 30.
Parcels we receive in the office later than the specified date may find a recipient after the holiday, which differs from what you would like. Therefore, hurry up!
Which Delivery Method to Choose, By Sea or Air?
Various ways of shipping are used to send parcels from Canada: air and sea transport. Delivery by sea is ideal for items up to 30 kg and is carried out at minimal rates for a longer time. Air transportation is used for the fastest possible delivery. Of course, the tariffs for shipping by air exceed delivery by sea. However, the high speed justifies the costs in this case.
How to deliver a holiday parcel with gifts in time? If you like savings and the ordered goods are not urgently required, sea transportation is the optimal solution. In cases where the speed of receiving the parcel is a priority, or you have already missed the delivery date by sea before the holidays, Meest Canada offers air delivery.
What Are My Options for Sending Parcels from Canada?
You can send packages using any delivery method:
- Bring your parcel to the nearest Meest office in Toronto, Hamilton, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver, and Montreal.
- Register on the Meest Portal and use one of the convenient drop-off options:
- At Meest agents.
- At any Canada Post location.
- Courier parcel pick-up from home by Meest partner Canpar.
- Complete your package online on the Meest Portal and give it to Canada Post agents.
So, thinking of how to quickly send a package before the holidays, remember that Meest agents like Christmas elves have a lot of work this year. Therefore, ensure you have enough time to buy and pack the gift before the date specified by Meest when planning your parcel pick-up.
It’s great that international delivery eliminates all borders between countries and individuals for holidays!
